Dancing into 10 years of Ditch Debt with Dignity.

Ceilidh blog cover - Jan 2023

Ditch Debt with Dignity is heading into its 10th year and to mark the occasion and acknowledge the brilliant work the team do, we are hosting a fun-packed occasion with live music from the Ceilidh band, Stooshie, a brain teasing quiz from the fabulous Neil Martin at SSK Aberdeen along with delicious food served in Union Kirk Aberdeen and raffles on the night too.

We are dancing into our 10th year on Saturday 25 February 2023 from 6.30pm at Union Kirk, Aberdeen and you can buy tickets online to help us celebrate, raise awareness of the work Ditch Debt with Dignity does and support our charity and the work that we do.

What does Ditch Debt with Dignity do?

Financial stress and pressure can be a very anxious time for many people; it can make you feel isolated, scared and hopeless and like you have very little options. Financial crisis does not come alone either;  the stress and constant fear of the future causes breakdowns in families, loss of ability to work effectively and long-term mental health conditions.

In this current financial climate, we know the difficulties that people are facing and the hard decisions they are having to make.  And we know there is a great need for services like ours, due to increasing energy bills and the cost of living being at an all-time high.

At Ditch Debt with Dignity it’s our mission to provide free, non-judgemental, confidential and professional advice and support to people who are privately struggling with their finances.  This could be you, a friend, colleague, partner or family member who are struggling to understand the maths behind salary, pension, tax and/or savings.

The Ditch Debt with Dignity team.

Our team is here to offer people hope, a way to negotiate the path back to some normality and we can offer individuals realistic, enduring assistance to get that part of their financial life back on track.  Not only do we support individuals with plans to repay their debts we also work with them to understand the issues that led to the debt. Where we can, we help our clients to establish a healthier relationship with money and assist them to look for other organisations that can help them with their situation.

Being an independent charity means that we have the ability to work in a manner suited to each unique case and we want people to know that they have someone on their side and that there is always a way forward.
